Boristheblade 1,367
As some may know my bitch broke 2 toes near a month ago which guttered me as she would be out all season as they was bad breaks. Which left me with all my faith left in my rough tumbler lurcher. It left me sceptical as this lad is very accident prone and spends a lot of the season with injurys. partly because he is that fast and runs that hard for everything and puts his all into every run, and partly because his skin was thin and build wasn't the best. I was goin to be very careful on the runs I chose for him due to this so I could get as much out of him as possible throughout the season. Sadly thiS wasn't to happen as I lost him last weekend on a textbook run on a soft set field. he snapped his front leg with the bone pretruding through the skin. I was out on my own and had no first aid kit with me. I managed to slow the bleeding with using the slip lead as a tourniquet so I chucked the poor lad on my shoulders n marched home over 3 miles. Sadly after seeing the emergency vet and havin X-rays he had snapped 2 metacarple bones. And the best course of action was sadly to pts. I'm still guttered now as I get rather attached to my dogs as there part of family not just workers. This now has left me without a dog to run this season at all, although I would ideally like to get a pup in and start again but with it being the start of the season i am very eager to get out. I know this is a long shot by any means but If anyone knows of a decent dog or sapling ready to go for this season please pm me with details. Daytime and lamp dogs considered. The dog will have a home for life and the very best of care. Thanks for reading. Quote Link to post

Boristheblade 1,367
I really really didn't want to be in this situation that I'm in so that's why I chose his runs, I didn't run a couple of things I seen before hand due to risks. Then this happened ?? I think if it's meant to happen it will happen no matter how careful you are sometimes. 2 Quote Link to post

Boristheblade 1,367
Yer that's what I'm very warey of people passing shit on, but you never know people's circumstances change n good dogs do come up it's just a rare occasion. Most people with decent bitches wouldn't want to be rearing a litter either this time of year. Yer I don't really believe in that luck I always think people make there own luck, but I'm kinda hopin that is the last of my bad luck anyways. 2 Quote Link to post
