Some great shooting by those on the ground and one of the few sources of the reality of nature shown on TV these days so should be applauded!

Max-wood the snakes are competing against each other to eat the lizard, one may catch but if another is strong/quick enough to steal it from them then its saved itself a lot of effort. Certainly shows the product of evolution and the forces that keep it going......survival!

I think the at night lion hunt was the elephant?? Still impressive in my book..   That bit of footage of the lions hunting the giraffe looks awesome, the lion just bounces off it as it runs through.

lol I can see the problem here , it's plain and simple . You Francie are just like my johovus witness good friend Kieth ,Kieth also hates David Attenborough . why does Kieth and francie hate David At

'Load a shite' ??? I''ve got no issue if they use a few tricks to put together good sequences of film. I doubt if 'most of it' is 'computerised or green screen' though.   The truth of the matter is

I've just watched it and all I can say is what's not to like? ... some absolutely stunning cinematography and learnt a few new things also ...those racer snakes are new to me there amazing as long as you don't have a snake phobia otherwise they could be a nightmare but I liked em.

You gotta love a trier

They can and do kill Giraffes on occasion.
I was amazed that they'll even try. I guess I thought that they'd try for a smaller, safer meal.
They got no option sometimes, they only risk the big game if there's nothing else about. I remember watching a program about a group of elephant hunting lions a few years back.

I'm with francie and dogfox123 on this one. They weren't real snakes, you could buy one of those from woollies and some other big stores for about 10p, I bought one about 45 years ago! Lol.

I've got all attenborough's programs on tape, and nearly all his books, the man's a legend, and like the bbc or not, alot of the wildlife stuff, especially with david attenborough narrating, is top class

Apparently the penguins were actually filmed at Penguin World at Chester zoo and Zavadovski island, which isn't even a place, was green screened on. The penguins supposedly smashed up on the rocks were all equity card carrying actors who spent hours in make up. Attenborough himself has actually been dead for years too, what you see on the screen is a mash up of old unused bits to camera with his lips CGI'd to lip sync the narration done by Alistair McGowan. f****n last time I'll be watching it ?
