Jagdterrier

Recommended Posts

Jagdterrier is a laboratory bred terrier by some of the craziest human beings on the planet at that time ...EUGENICS... with millions ( in them days) spent on trying to CREATE as the Germans themselves said a superior TERRIER lol but not one of them was a terrier man they were all to busy killing humans...man can never better what nature intended & blended...and the working terrier of the Irish and British Isles happened naturally ... not by accident by the way.. and not being an eejit here and I know many have what they call a very versatile terrier...but if he is getting the work he was bred for regularly he only needs to complete one job... work underground?

bit about the guy on this programme http://www.channel4.com/programmes/hitlers-hunting-experiment

Why fix something that isn't broken? I'd rather have a dog for a job than a 'jack of all trades, master of none' type. I'll stick with my black dogs.

Can't see them becoming decent dogs on these shores anyway ....too much money involved in this breed ....spoke to some lads earlier in the year I was micro chipping their terriers as they couldn't tak

I like em

So do I, even though I've never seen one. It's a working terrier so what's not to like ? I just don't understand why people feel the need for them. It's a bit like bringing coals to Newcastle. But...we DO now import coals to Newcastle these days...even though my house is sitting on top of billions of pounds worth of the stuff but they stopped digging for it. It's like the people who took control had a problem with digging. To them it didn't matter what you were digging for...we just all had to stop digging because they didn't like it :-)

A Jagd may or may not be a step up from the British breeds that were used to " create " it. We have them here now and I assume it costs a lot of money to get them here, these terriers that have something that ours lack. So why are people mating them to Russells and Patterdales already ? Seems a bit pointless to me.

Cost 80 euro.

Surprised this breed ov terrier has not taken over the whole hunting game

explain why???
. Take back last comment haha, I've herd they are very tough dogs and great workers ect, after hard research last day or two if found out they are baiscly a money spinner brought to uk they work just as good as uk terriers but also very stubborn and head strong and arnt very clever dogs as such, but if you get a good one they are some dog, basically more of a status dog imo from what I've looked into

Ive seen a good few jagd terriers out hunting, above ground for big european game, below ground for big european game. To summarise my opinion of all ive seen, they arent all that. The fellas that kept them got sick of them, they just dont seem mentally robust enough.
