So do you guys think that jogging a dog at a steady 20 miles an hour over x amount of miles is going to be bad for the dog or good for it ??? And do you think that fartlek training at set speeds o we set distances is also bad or good for the dogs ??? .......

I've got 97,000 acres of wild land to run them over with no road in sight mate ... my hunting partner used to run his alongside the truck until he lost concentration for a second and ran over one of his dogs ... the way I'm doing it means they are completely safe .....

Is there not enough work on there to keep dogs fit?

When I used to jog dogs I found a steady 9 miles an hour the perfect speed to keep dogs at a good trot.

Use to start off at 3 mile per night and work my way up to 12 mile over 5/6 weeks

Never needed no contraptions though just told my dogs to "heel" and they would sit under my wing mirror where I could see them. Atb.

I think a dog will handle that no probs if introduced properly ken, but i also thnk it be easier for dogs running next to motor, iv seen dogs that try run behind motor run into it if ye stop too quick, and like i said it will look bad if any idiots ever see it in use, if ye got all that land use a quad bike

As I said my mate killed his dog running next to the motor and Tilly continuously runs in front of the truck she is a fukcing nightmare for it .... the frame is made so it's far away from the back of the truck and the lead is also made of elastic so loads of give for stopping and starting ... they get worked every day ... they get plenty of free running ... they get out with my horse around three times a week and this is just another aid that I will utilise to get them to peak fitness ...

Do yourself another favour and get yourself a dog that can manage a few miles behind a truck and then come back on here and comment ......
