My opinion and everyone is entitled to voice there opinion, WHY would you want to strap your dogs to that contraption??? when you have so much land to run your dogs on, and if your dogs are working daily, with in 6 six weeks they are as fit as you would require them, after all you are only clearing the area of rabbits,

Again of course the odd Roe deer could pop out of a thicket, but Again it does not take the greatest dog to bowl that one over, My opinion keep to the basics,

walking or a quad bike, with the dogs running at the side of you,

Nothing wrong with that mate looks bang on to me certenly a good way for a busy man to make back time and keep dogs fit all this bollocks I walk X miles a day X amount times a week I think majority is bull shit unless you don't work or Ok if your retired I suppose. I'm a cattle farmer and my dogs run be side my truck 7 days a week. I couldn't ever walk them to reach the fitness they are ,,,the way I do things...watt works for 1 chap won't work for every other .,over and out

I think a dog will handle that no probs if introduced properly ken, but i also thnk it be easier for dogs running next to motor, iv seen dogs that try run behind motor run into it if ye stop too quick, and like i said it will look bad if any idiots ever see it in use, if ye got all that land use a quad bike

As I said my mate killed his dog running next to the motor and Tilly continuously runs in front of the truck she is a fukcing nightmare for it .... the frame is made so it's far away from the back of the truck and the lead is also made of elastic so loads of give for stopping and starting ... they get worked every day ... they get plenty of free running ... they get out with my horse around three times a week and this is just another aid that I will utilise to get them to peak fitness ...
Socks I may be wrong as I'm no rabbit man i just shoot and retrieve a few things but when when bringing an animal into there peak don't you normally work towards a particular time or date like say bringing a horse to peak fitness for a certain race or bring a coursing dog to peak condition for a money match ? For your average running dog surely it's not that important if there getting worked hard and by hard I mean more than 3 days/nights a week then I would've thought getting them resting when there not working is just important ? For instance my own dog is just about getting running fit he can handle 2-3 good nights on the trot depending on what's getting ran he only gets jogged now if he hasn't been ran for a couple of days and he's up on his toes but when I'm working him hard I don't do any fitness I want him fresh and ready. Have I been doing it wrong and you should have jogging swimming ect on top of hard graft ? Genuinely interested to hear your views ?? Edited by C.green
