scottish lurcher 185
I love to be able to take part in this when If I was younger , basically you catch a salmon in the morning shoot a brace of grouse then shoot a stag all done in a highland estate with help of keepers, must be done within dawn and dusk in the same day , but as i am in my 70s I am now unable biggest regret just wondered what everyone biggest hunt regret is . Even it selling a dog or not buying one etc . Edited October 13, 2016 by scottish lurcher

mushroom 12,904
Leaving all the beautiful land I had free reign permission on, to come here for money. Hard on the soul that is, especially when you get that certain scent/smell in the air that forces nostalgia ? Edited October 13, 2016 by mushroom
pointer 543
Not hunting exactly but I wish I'd started fishing earlier. I've been to Hawaii twice and I caught a shark and a couple of species of wrasse with the crews help but I didn't know how to actually set up rigs etc. I now enjoy catching different and new species of fish using all kinds of tactics and tackle so I have a massive regret that I've twice been to somewhere that I know I could now catch a lot of species, some endemic. I went when you got two Dollars for a Pound and prices over there were much cheaper than they are now. Those two fortnight holidays cost £4000 a time and would cost nearly twice that now so I doubt I'll ever get to go back. Like I say its a massive regret that I didn't do more fishing out there.

Haiddheliwr 1,911
To get into fox hunting when I was younger! Went through it all, always had a shotgun in my teens, pigeon shooting, inland duck shooting, rabbiting with gun and ferrets. Had many springer spaniels, terriers and lurchers but once I was introduced to foxhounds it really opened my eyes. I still do terrierwork but the music of a pack of foxhounds in full cry is my piece of heaven. Oh to be younger eh!! lol
pointer 543
Yeah not taking up fishing earlier is a regret in itself, I actually prefer fishing to hunting but for some reason I don't go between September and April. It's strange really when I was a kid my Dad would be catching conger, wrasse etc on Scottish holidays and I had no interest, my Uncle even owned a Charter boat out of Hartlepool and went to Whithorn after Tope every year. Hawaii did get me interested in fishing so it served some purpose lol.

pointer 543
I regret not having as much money as Pointer! Don't be, I built up an incredible amount of debt in a ten year period doing all sorts of stuff. Ten years later I'm still paying it off and have feck all lol.

South hams hunter 8,921
Had an rspca scare and got rid of two good dogs. Wish I had just kept them elsewhere rather than get rid but didn't want the rspca taking them
