i have a patterdale dog at 6 months and planning on ratting with him. i know its abit early yet to let him have a couple, but what age would you advise to start him

aslo any advice on a [bANNED TEXT] bite on what i should do cheers

make sure he jabbed up 1st, against rats bites (W/D) and the odd rat wont hurt him at 6 months old, terriers mature quicker than most breeds anyway

It's the rats urine that is most likely to give your terrier Weils Disease so inoculation is essential.

Regarding bites, treat them like all small cuts and keep them clean. If your terrier is likely to meet more than 1 or 2 rats then having an antibiotic on stand by will do no harm.

Personally I think 6 months is too young to show a pup a rat but many will disagree.
