Well I`ve bought the old girl and boy she packs an 11.3 ft/lb punch using AA Fields

 

I'm not rushing to set her all up but I`ll keep you all informed how this 40 yr old classic gets on in the field.

My mate a few doors down has one and is on nights so got it done. "free"

 

565 ft/sec using 16g AA Fields = 11.34 ft/lbs - she`ll do me.

Ace mark. I managed to find an old pic an early hw80 I used to own that was very simelar to the fwb sport I used to own even down to the stock.

 

 

 

It was a really nice shooting classic wish I never sold it!

I sold my old Mercury Challenger to a biker - I might go see if he still lives at the same address but, it was 20 yrs ago.

I'd love to have that one back.

Thank`s lads,

 

There is no wear on the visible working parts, no marks from scope rails or arrestor blocks/ studs.

First thing I`ve done is give the barrel a good cleaning,- it`s either been cleaned recently and shot little or simply sat in a cupboard a long time.

Not much dirt/ residue at all on the pull through .

The barrel is now spotless

if i you do want me to do the stock do you want it the same as i did Simon,s hw80 and the Diana the old in with the new

 

keeping some of the patina that she has a built up over the 20 years .

 

have a think on it mate and have some fun with her first and let me know there is no rush

 

when you do send it only send the stock if the rest is ok

But she is only a classic if she is left alone

 

as with Simon's every mark and scratch tells a story so i left some of them in the hw80 as Simon wanted it that way

 

and some times a refurb de values a rifle
