ratmogit 16
Hi, I've been looking hard to find a deerhound first cross litter. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks Quote Link to post

Just a shame they're half strangling the parents for the photo. They'd look better if they were posed naturally and shot from (their) shoulder level. ratmogit 16
Thanks, it's a half cross I'm after though. It's surprising the lack of them about. Is Dave Platts still breeding? 1 Quote Link to post
boyo 1,398
Dave Platt got a litter on or due. If you cant find his no. Ring CMW they'"" have it. Or someone on here will. Think Trevor Cookland still breeds aswell. Atb Quote Link to post

ratmogit 16
I basically want a deerhound but don't want kc crap, a half cross is a good compromise. I've been out of the game for a while, and just need something that's going to have a good nature for my boy. If it doesn't end up catching every rabbit it won't be the end of the world. ginger beard 4,652
i've had a few 1/2 x's and rate them but they can be abit to big and they aint the fastest out the slips both negatives that maybe put right by x ing back to another grey.taking the size down to about 26'' and giving them better accelaration.that will probably be what i'd go for. ratmogit 16
Yeah I've had a good look around and there doesn't seem to be anything that's spot on at the moment, I've been out for at least 7 years so I don't mind if I've got to wait for next year for the right one. I've had a look at the kc ones and for £1200 I would expect it to be gutting, skinning and cooking the rabbit after catching it =) Quote Link to post
