FERRETBOY 680
The dogs really impressed me this day and before we ferreted we had a good mooch first bushing through the sedge grass. Lass using her nose the most and covering lots of ground. We put up a few rabbits and about 4 big rabbits. Which are good to see as we have been trying to leave them on the lamp. Then after the ferreting all day gem was a bit stiff while lass was still bouncing. I thought I was going to struggle getting gem to run on the lamp but after a little walk to warm up I gave her a long slip. She flew after the rabbit and at the end of the beam she turned it off the fence and had him caught. Both dogs were flying and caught an even amount. I was gifted two hob ferrets from another friend since I lost my best Jill and these two have been cracking. Really impressed with them. It was a long day but an enjoyable one. I should have enough footage to make a video and one good run. 2 Quote Link to post

FERRETBOY 680
Nice to hear it tomo, it's been so long since we used nets I have misplaced them. Lucky for us Richard had 20 odd from his youth. Some looked a lot older. But they are deadly. They soon wipe an area out if used often. Gonna go back to bolting for the dogs on our small bit of permission. Quote Link to post

nottzhunter08 898
Lucky I've kept an eye on my 10 nets lol, not like you tomo to use nets sounds a great day though, maybe being a pest controller has spoiled vin lol, I enjoyed nets agin but I must say I was looking forward to having a few bolts to dog, caught two in a row about 10 secs apart, had one warren were lass ran a rabbit over the hill to rews set, as lass was gone I stuck my foot over a bolt hole but as i put it down a rabbit bolted I had it pinned with my foot for a sec but end up loosing my foot in and another rabbit bolted straight into it and they was gone lol, can't beat it Quote Link to post
