I am looking at both of these rifles tomorrow, us older lads, as I`m going to hunt old classic once a week and modern rifles the rest ot the time.

Again, not been about that much. Same old. But, notice your topic. I had a mates 35 export apart just the other month for him, installed a v'mach. Nice rifle, power wasn't to hot to be fair. Fair old spring mind.

 

Not sure the 35 would fit you mark. Your clearly a 'bloke' and there a bit small, even for a kidder like me. The barrel is far to long too, to me anyway.

i had the 35 export in 177 ,lovely for those long range shots

My mate had the 35 export stunning rifle indeed, power was around 9ftlbs I seem to remember, I guess you could always convert it to a modern piston washer instead of leather, to bring the power up, another one for you to look at mate is the superb BSF b55 Bavaria, I had one and how I wish I still had it now.

Yes they got some really good write ups in the air gun world mag`s back in the early `s.

Had a HW 35 in .22 ,not the most powerful beastie but well made and as posted previously not the biggest air rifle in the world.Even with an oxblood spring and a piston kit it only made 10lb ft ,so it went to be replaced by the BSA Supersport 11ft/lb n a bit as standard .The best way is try both and see what fits ,opinion is that what other,s experience.Youl know which one makes you smile the most and probably be taking it /both home atb
