Training To Fox Pre Ban

Recommended Posts

I agree they just need steering in the right direction.but I've always hung a (dead/shot)fox on the outside of my dog runs as pups-they seem to have a disliking to them and enter when there's one at home.works for me instead of spoiling them in a stop end :)atb dc

Either Daniel ,you are hard of hearing OR you have no neighbours for a two mile radius, LOL.

If I walk through my yard with a brush in my pocket they all kick off. A dead fox on show would be louder than a Metallica concert, LOL.

To be fair regarding ragging ?

I've seen many very good terriers go through their whole careers without a rag. Some of them would be up there with the best.

It's not something I think is necessary but we do all do what has worked for us before.

Note to self = Never buy a house next to Daniels ,LOL.

Neil f**k my neighbours I own my house and do what I please :) (the beauty of living in a ruff arse council Estate lol)anyone who's seen my dogs will tell you they aren't the noisey type (don't wine or make a sound on the couples)-older dogs show no interest in the dead ones-fd message away pal box is empty. Don't leave it in the kennel let it mooch about rats, mice even bushing a pheasant or dare mention it even rabbits, make sure both his parents did the job and did it in a style you want, let it run through empty earths and drains with a locator on you can practice a bit with the box aswell, don't force it to do anything just gentle encouragment,if you know a few good earths keep it to yourself and try them when the conditions are right and the terrier is ready if your not sure when that is wait till he's 2years old a lot start earlier or later it should with good breeding and a bit of luck .

Daniel you say your dogs are always quiet in kennels what do you put this down to

they are quiet in the kennel, box, coupled up at a dig-plenty of work and exercise out of season and a belly full of grub helps...personally i put it down to my own calm nature lol-they say dogs are like their owners.atb dc
