She quarters fields and woods like a spaniel. Doesn't go too far and keeps coming to within about 10 yards as if to say "is this okay what I'm doing?" before carrying on.   My plummer went into eve

Been doing a bit of retrieve work with the busher today, thought I would share the videos...   Water...     Woodland...     Cover...     Then finished off with a spot of jumping

She's 15-16 months Nothernlite and Lurcherlad.   Got her waiting on command too but still hit and miss when I throw the dummy. She just wants to go. But we will get there. She goes left and right o

All cockers ive seen are like that. Springers on other hand will smash anything whether any things home or not. I havent made my mind up what i prefer but im quite sure i like them to check anyway just incase you never no theyve missed something

Yeh it's swings and roundabouts. I wasted a lot of time waiting for the plummer to thoroughly check every nook and cranny. Even when the lurchers weren't marking I would let her do her thing. But it was good to watch her work so left her to it.

We can cover more ground with these bull cockers in the same time. My brindle bitch has got a very good nose so I trust her 100%. If she walks past then it's empty. If she marks then something is at home. She hasn't let me down yet. Hoping this busher going the same way.

It gets a bit boring watching them plummers yappy horrible little fukers but mute in cover ( the ones I've seen). Much more fun to be had with a purpose bred dog

I'm not sure boring is a word I would to describe the plummer I had but each to their own ?

Mine screamed like a banshee in cover on rabbit or fox and was never yappy otherwise. Silent in the kennel or when travelling. You must have seen some shit plummers mate.

But I agree for the bushing game purpose bred mutt is the way to go.

Very handy dog gaz and coming on well for you. Is she ok with ferrets ?

Yeh she's bang on ferreting mate. Great with ferrets and reliable marker.

I am sold then mate cracking dog. Could taking shooting and all sorts. I guess the bull slows the cocker down a bit because my pet one has only gone one speed and thats a run lol even at 10

Nah mate the bull ain't slowed her down. She runs everywhere at full speed and doesn't know what walk or rest is. Lol. She can shift aswell. She nearly caught a rabbit in the open the other day. She just couldn't stick with it on the turn but was up its arse on the straights. Was something to see. Lol.

She worked her little socks off today. Must have knocked 5 bunnys up out of tight cover. Runners were unlucky not to get to grips with one but that's how it goes. Good fun watching them hunting the woods...
