cantona 310
Fair play mate, you get the most out of you're dogs, training them to a high standard means you get the full potential out of any breed and years of controlled hunting , not many moochers ever get that 1 Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
All cockers ive seen are like that. Springers on other hand will smash anything whether any things home or not. I havent made my mind up what i prefer but im quite sure i like them to check anyway just incase you never no theyve missed something Yeh it's swings and roundabouts. I wasted a lot of time waiting for the plummer to thoroughly check every nook and cranny. Even when the lurchers weren't marking I would let her do her thing. But it was good to watch her work so left her to it. We can cover more ground with these bull cockers in the same time. My brindle bitch has got a very good nose so I trust her 100%. If she walks past then it's empty. If she marks then something is at home. She hasn't let me down yet. Hoping this busher going the same way. Quote Link to post

Much more fun to be had with a purpose bred dog I'm not sure boring is a word I would to describe the plummer I had but each to their own ? Mine screamed like a banshee in cover on rabbit or fox and was never yappy otherwise. Silent in the kennel or when travelling. You must have seen some shit plummers mate. But I agree for the bushing game purpose bred mutt is the way to go. 1 Quote Link to post

She runs everywhere at full speed and doesn't know what walk or rest is. Lol. She can shift aswell. She nearly caught a rabbit in the open the other day. She just couldn't stick with it on the turn but was up its arse on the straights. Was something to see. Lol. 1 Quote Link to post

Gaz_1989 9,539
She worked her little socks off today. Must have knocked 5 bunnys up out of tight cover. Runners were unlucky not to get to grips with one but that's how it goes. Good fun watching them hunting the woods... Busher took a bit of stick around her eyes today... 2 Quote Link to post
