I purchased these at (Grade 1). I rate them although they are second hand they are very good quality, good ankle support, warm, and watertight. Goretex boot for a reasonable price. Just noticed their only seem to be grade 2 left after I posted now but they cost less

Get yourselves boot protectors on the graft and save the sole because this is where the destruction occurs .

Grade 1s are a kinda worn in when you get them but they are in very good nick. I would imagine grade 2 would have a little more wear and tear to them but still good

quality. IMO if you dont mind wearing a boot that someone else has for a short time, you will get a good strong boot for a fraction of the price. BINGO. Mine did actually take a time to wear them in properly lol

I have always had the Glockners and loved them. Got the Taigas at the moment and they seem good.

 

Comfy and supportive but a bit more flexible in the sole than the Glockners.

 

For hard work digging i would go with the Glockners as the ones i am sat in at the moment don't feel as tough.

I had danners workman last winter for work I'm a scaffolder and they were shite didn't last the winter

It's out of Meindl Dovre Etreme or Meindl Taiga, f****d off the Lowas they look too clumpy. Think either of the two meindls will suit for what I do as I lamp, bush and dig.

 

But which ones better ? anyone had both ?
