fishfish 17 Posted December 8, 2007 Report Share Posted December 8, 2007 seems an age ago now as i sit here infront of the fire! but heres a pic from earlier this year.I had poped over to shearwater for an hours carping,the fish were hungry ! i was just fishing within 6 foot of the bank with floating crust on a size2 raptor hook.lost one landed 3 . fishfish 17 Posted December 9, 2007 Author Report Share Posted December 9, 2007 size2 raptor thats a feckin anchor . how bigs the carp in the pic didnt weigh the carp,i recon about 8lb mark.as for the hook it may be big but i find that being barbless its dead easy to unhook and generally in the mouth too,none of the damage of a swallowed size12! (besides the ducks compete for the same bread and ide like them to feel the hook befor its too late.) Quote Link to post

AIRGUNNER 1 Posted December 10, 2007 Report Share Posted December 10, 2007 nice catch mate do you use a unhooking mat, a bit of advice aswell always crouch down and hold the fish so if goes mad and slips or gets drop it will only fall a few inches onto the mate and wont damage or hurt the fish.
