Another Night At The Bunnies

Recommended Posts

good night lads...Love the vandrover.. I was out with just the ferrets yesterday..no dogs with me,Doris is on rest leave for a week to clear up a suspected infection..fingers crossed.

It was good to see other dogs work for a change and see the kits from this summer make their ferreting debuts.. All 5 of the young hobs they had bred from my hob and their Jill went straight to work and were killing and holding bunnies immediately.. no messing about and no jumping around with tails bushed up doing the war dance etc etc..they were like seasoned Pros by the end of the day... you could see them hunting and finding their game and flushing or killing with no messing about in between. . . I've had kits in the past that never get it sussed after a full season of trying...lol.

Cheers fellas,

VIN i hope she gets well soon mate, Phil sounded chuffed with chuckles offspring, I would love the chance to have some hobs from your line if there's any available in the future mate

You are right to ask for some of Chuckles' kits,...

I lost my old line of workers to ferret rustlers a few seasons back,..luckily, I had placed a bitch with a friend and we brought her up to be lined by Vin's top worker. The resulting progeny are really something special and have inherited their Sire's genes,..and even a few of his wee peculiarities.

I have always felt that, if you are genuinely keen on the hunting game it pays to secure the best tools for the job in hand...Anyway, nice to have that 5 minute chat with you and your brother/cousin...I wish you well...

Kind regards, Phil.

I cant spend enough time up there phil, amazing place to be, not jist the rabbiting, but the landscape and views are fenominal,,

Chuckles certainly has produced some cracking kits, would love to get my hands on a pair of good working hobs, TOMO done me a big favour and gifted me a Jill so I can still have some days ferreting whilst waiting for the right ferrets,,

Was good to see you mate, REW is my cousin btw lol, maybe we will meet in the field one time ?

Cheers guys. I need to get some beds in the back of the van to avoid trying to sleep in the cab in the future. Waking up aching isn't fun anymore. We have caught a few hundred rabbits of this land but we desperately need to find new Land to go at now. It was good chatting with you Phil Lloyd, I look forward to the book if you ever finish it.
