Ferret Kit

Hi

I am fairly new to ferreting , although I have been out ferreting with a few old timers when I was only a young lad , I recently bought a ferret & was just wondering at what age do I introduce him to hunting, I have all the gear Finder, nets ect I just cant wait to get started . My ferret is roughly 10 weeks old now.

Aye roughly six months plus you will know when there like kids and mature at diffrent times

often find they are best in the second season so don't lose faith if this year is a struggle. Also my hobs always seem to start quicker than the Jill's.

See can ye get ur hands on couple ferrets about 6 months,,,10 week old ferret wont do much work this season.....

Is it ok to have a ferret on his own or would it be better to have a second for company , the hutch is plenty big for 2

Personally I always keep more than one as I don't think they do well on there own. They are intelligent animals and like company. Hobs would need keeping apart in the summer though. Currently got 11 all in together and they love it! Atb.

Get a second one ready to use, they enjoy company be mindful, get same sex or they will breed or you can buy a fixed one. Enjoy A.T.B
