Get the body back asap, you wanna find out for definite the dog has been pts as they could be pulling a fast one. Wouldn't be the firsts time someone's done it.

There's a Facebook group called 'The RSPCA did this' and they've unfortunately had a similar situation so it may be worth getting in touch with them

Got bitch back she was in fridge at vets they weren't gonna let me have her til I started lookin in various rooms etc need someone who's been here before so I know how to approach it 6 months ago it be a different story but I need to go about it right way

Postmortem first step mate see why she needed putting down . Get it in writing why the vets put her down then get ya Sen to citizens advice or a free half hour with a solicitor . Disgusting . You'll find most German dogs will have a tattoo . I know mine have .

Sorry to hear that mate - get everything down in writing, email is best as no way it can get lost and has evidence of times and dates. The more detail you can get the better.

As above, get a statement written by the lady who took to vets, she sounds like a dog person so will no doubt help.
