Best Video Camera For Recording Lamping?

I fancy trying to record some lamping, just to watch myself when I can't get out lol what do I need to look for in a video camera specifically for this purpose? Any of you lads film any of your lamping forays?

I know a lad who's got some real good footage he reckons it's not so much the camera quality it's the light quality you need so whoevers filming needs a lamp and obviously whoevers working dog has a lamp. I could be wrong as I don't film much just what I've been told.

As has been said, the light is just as important as the camera. Any new HD camcorder with a high fps will film lamping just fine. You need a slightly wider beamed light for the cam to auto focus properly. A decent optical zoom is really handy too.

GO PRO! cheap ones are about 90 quid and will still like shit to a blanket.. Could easily stick one to the top of the lamp
