General lee 979
Posted in the earth dog section I just thought I should have posted in this section basically I have a Lakeland Russell bitch for bushing she does her job well but I think it's time I brought a pup in I can have a pure Plummer from seasoned dogs or I can use the sire to line my bitch not made my mind up what to do just looking for opinions really Quote Link to post
Lukey12 126
I have a plummer x jack here at the minute around 6 month old and is coming on quite well... I would personally go for the cross Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
Have you not considered putting a spaniel over your Lakey Russel for bushing? Quote Link to post
deck 35
both options good but id go for the plummer myself. Quote Link to post
HGN 150
I suppose its a case of what do you want? If the bitch and dog are working as you like then go for it - Plummer or not? Quote Link to post
General lee 979
To be honest both the Plummer bitch and my lakey Russell bitch are both working how I want so i don't think it would matter which one I use I was just wondering if anyone had experience of a Plummer x lakie russell really I have plenty of time just thought I might get some feedback Quote Link to post

FKOF 371
Surely that's impossible say you used a Plummer to a Lakeland and someone else did a Plummer Lakeland litter, they ain't going to be the same as what you have bred all terriers are different ! Different lines etc. exactly what you get is a big statement you must be a expert you sound like Plummer himself! , good lads breed seasoned dogs and still get shite. You don't always know what your going to get !!! Edited September 29, 2016 by FKOF 2 Quote Link to post

You don't always know what your going to get !!! Well I'll leave it to you then FKOF, I sometimes wonder why I bother taking the time to post when experts like yourself can do it so eloquently, I look forward to your pics and experience of these crosses, there's those that criticise having never done anything themselves and those that have actually took the time to breed, record the pups and have the knowledge to pass on when somebody asks, I await your post, WM 3 Quote Link to post

I will keep my private life just that I don't won't no fame like yourself. Your full off shit !!!!! Ha ! Ha! the expected reply, then why bother coming on at all if you can't add anything, trolling is easy but handing on experience is actually part of this forum, when I joined this forum a good 6 years ago there were loads of decent lads posting of their days out and through idiots like yourself their numbers have slowly reduced until there are only a few left, I started digging and working lurchers in the 70's and my "old" pictures were just of days out, nobody really thought there would be a world wide web and forums such as this or that we would be able to put pictures on, the only pictures we seen were in published books and so any pics taken on the day were honest and just for our own enjoyment, looking back on good days out with lads long since dead and buried is all part of the day out along with a pint and a laugh along the way, I enjoy taking a good pic as much as taking a good long shot with a rifle and if us regular lads never put up pics of our days out then there would be nothing to read or look at on here, we are limited by law what can and cannot be placed on the internet and those lads that have not heeded it in the past now have life bans on keeping any animals , I hunt 7 days all year round and so I account for large numbers of vermin by all the legal methods at my disposal. All end of day pics are "staged" to some degree but the actual hunting shots are "live action" and that is obvious even to a fool like yourself, I don't even know why I bothered to explain that to you, WM " all staged with remote controlled duck and rabbit" 9 Quote Link to post
