philpot 4,972
Has any of you used a viper connect scope with an add-on NV. The blurb says it is not suitable which I am guessing is because of the rubber eye piece but my thought was if that rubber eye piece is not used, surely it would be no different to any other scope. Am I missing something here, is there another reason or does the rubber eye piece HAVE to be used. I don't own a viper connect but have considered one hence the question. Phil Quote Link to post
treecreeper 1,136
Be a few reasons phil, it's only 32mm so will be pants for light gathering and as such they sit really low on the rifle so won't give room for add on. The ret is also very fine. Probably something to do with the lens set up aswell. Quote Link to post
si brown 8,486
yeah tc is right , they have next to no eye relief so it'll be a nightmare to set up even if you could get it on! Quote Link to post
Rez 4,960
As above. Even though the FOV is mahooooosive. They dont quite work that well after hours. Quote Link to post
philpot 4,972
Ah, I see your point, back to the drawing board but thanks guys. I will have a look at the PAO Swat scope which has has one or two bits of good feedback. Changing the subject somewhat, I popped into the RFD this afternoon and he has one of these orrible Ultra XL that I saw at the Northern Shooting Show earlier this year BUT.... after picking it up and wheeling it around in the shop, it does feel light and perfectly balanced with more shots per fill than the ultra. I think it is only available with a thumbhole stock though so may not appeal to all. Phil Quote Link to post
hoggysreels 76
Ultra XL in the flesh looks and feels a nicely proportioned PCP. 1 Quote Link to post
