Sam's from the old school of wide boy managers and there's always been the whiff of greed and corruption about him. It's not the first time he's been investigated, remember the "bung" allegations ? But you'd think when he's reached the pinnacle of his ambitions, managing England, and the £3,000,000 + wages he's getting, he would have stayed a million miles away from these "little extra earners" ! A greedy fool of a man ,the sooner he gets the sack the better ,it was a shameful appointment in the first place ,it was as if the F.A give in trying to compete with modern football and decided we are a nation of talentless clogger's.

 

He can organise a defence and make a team hard to beat ,that's it ,there is no flair ,no invention ,nothing original and no tactical nous beyond plan A. His shameless self promotion and massive ego plus a lack of applicants for the job is the only reason he's there.

Do you think that may be the way all lesser teams are heading now at international level mate?........I mean we saw it a few times at the euros, shit teams come up against teams who are trying to play football and just putting 10 men in defence.

It's a no win situation though Stan, the fans and our media demand results, but we can;'t get those results trying to play football (unfortunately) Euro 96 was the last time an England side really had you on the edge of your seat, and fully behind them....

I do believe we have some real talent about at the minute though ( Rashford, Ali, Kane, Rose,Walker etc ) but I don't see Sam getting the best out of them, so we'll be grinding out results and frustrating side that try and play football, I agree it's a crying shame and not the way I would like to see our national side play, but unfortunately it's the position we find ourselves in.

 

The only positive is he might get a centre back pairing defending properly, cause we are shit in that area at the minute and with such attack mided full backs you need defenders who can defend.
