Actually in this country I can go around shooting voles - not that I've ever tried. It is in fact encouraged to eradicate them. The usual method is to poison them - which I completely disagree with. Poison is cruel and spreads poison through the food chain. Any pest control I do is to encourage the native species by removing non native species.

I've been a member on this forum since 2007 and had made quite a few posts (including an intro) but sadly all have disappeared ... for lack of activity I guess. Life happens. The magpie hunt was quite something...after 8 or so years they still avoid my plot.
