breeze 1,296
One coursing greyhound that really stick's in my mind was a Fawn dog named Carlton owned (Ithink) by the one time jockey Greville Starkey. Remember watching him run on a video of the 85 / 86 Waterloo. He wasn't the quickest of dog's but he couldn't half work a hare when he got in behind one..

markw 0
Hi, It's not only difficult to compare generations, but open coursing dogs with park types. Although I realise that in the latter years park dogs dominated the British coursing scene. I've seen some great dogs run over the years and the phenomenon that was Master Myles has to be of them. While I doubt Cashels Evening would make it into many people's top 10, or even top 100, for me she made the last Waterloo Cup meeting. Granted, she lacked pace, in fact she was led a furlong by the previous years winner in the opening course. But, the way she stuck to her hare, married to her, what seemed like endless (for a pure greyhound) stamina, puts her well up in my top 10.
