He will be going into the wood a hundred yards up from my house ... Plenty of food sources for him there ..... i think you should stick it in malt's attic for a laugh

downsouth 7,511
A pal of mine who used to come on here as Slips had a pair a few years back that came from a breeding project that were being released back into the wild.He did a couple of matings with domestic ferrets and he had the youngsters surprisingly tame and handleable until you put them in an earth then they just instantly reverted back to wild things darting from hole to hole and darting down through hedgerows like stoats. Blackbriar 8,569
Two of my Jill's are polecat hybrids, and they're much more active and faster than the ferret hob they live with.

Bosun11 537
Socks i had wild hob, 20 years ago. Was the devil to get right but i did it... eventually, though he was usless as a worker. Bred me and a few mates some fantastic kits though but not handle them for a day or so and they were as wild as daddy. Fantastic grafters though. Thing is, that hob you got there is a cracker, in fine fettle. Dont matter who gets him, to be caged up would be a damn shame IMO. Let wild things be wild, find a speck for him and let him go...
