Long Shot - Looking For A Pup?!

My girlfriend has wanted a Labrador pup for a few months. It wasn't easy and it's taken me a few months to wear her down, but she said yesterday when we were out with mine that she'd actually quite like a Lurcher - result!

But obviously not best time to be looking. Ideally looking for a bitch, 21-23inch, whippety type, and rough coated is her dream.

If anyone knows of anything would be fantastic. I'm Yorkshire based but willing to travel - beats having a Labrador in the house!

Any help much appreciated.

There will be litters about off older bitches and some only have 1 season a year.

But choose cautiously,as it's a long time to have a dog you aren't happy with.

Any thoughts on a type you want?

Go to the local dog rescue place and give one of theirs a good home.

Good point lurcher rescues have loads that are waiting for a home,if working it ain't an intention

Ideally rough coated, small, 21-23 inch.

I'll be helping her train it but will be her first dog so not sure it will be the easiest to train if I get a rescue?

My bitch is due a litter in two weeks time, she's greyhound/Laguna whippet with a touch of bull.

I've put her to a track greyhound/farm yard collie.

Both parents working. She's 23" sires 24"
