I agree, either tongue in cheek or f***ing stupid...  My old mans 65, grafts everyday, early in and usually one of the last out. Mrs old man was still taxi driving at 70, recently retired but helps

But is there really a food shortage? From what i read and see the amount of food thrown away is criminal! From the householders to big companies its obscene what is wasted.   years ago people use

Here's an idea, stop buying shit you don't need, strive to get off the grid as much as you can, stop artificially supporting continents populations with hand outs.......then people can have as many ki

Yep, we should all be put to sleep at 70.

Lower the retirement age and get more young in work, we have nothing to give past 60 anyway....

Nothing to give past 60 lol ... You are obviously very young .....

What? In a couple of years you'll be claiming the state pension and doing nothing of any importance....

Lower the retirement age, enjoy life for a few years then move on to the next life...

I'm hardly old fella and I won't know what I've got to give until I reach retirement age ... But I certainly won't be written off by then that's a fact .....

So you think we should be made to live out or lives, sometimes not through choice in those last few weeks of suffering?

I don't think the population needs controlling, just think we need to stop the relatively few greedy fuckers accumulating the world's wealth and spend it on managing resources properly. We have the technology to grow crops on the sea or in the desert. First step is addressing our energy needs. Significant resources should be piled into fusion for a start, then the power of the tides should be harnessed on a massive scale.

good points and i see what your saying, but just because maybe we could cope with a larger population through better managment, should it not come down to a better quality of life for those of us already here, more people means more cars on already congested roads most people now work a 9 to 5 job and some find themselves leaving 1 or 2 hours early every day just to get to work on time, leaving them to tired and overstressed for their real work ie family and recreation.even better public transport would come at huge cost and the motorist could then loose the freedom of there cars, more houses mean less green space more confinment brings more conflict and more queues in shops and super markets lol the list goes on

When did I say that ? That's a completely different topic ... What I said was that somebody in their 60's still has plenty to give and we shouldn't be put to sleep at 70 ........

how could the world be overpopulated when everyone could fit into texas with a hundred metre bit of land to grow crops for yourself, , it's the individual countries that need to sort there food an resources, all this bollocks is a myth, there earth is here for us to use, aye don't be reckless, but by feck there's some shite being talked.

It's not who could fit where Francie

The picture is much bigger than that

It's what us as a species are pulling out of Mother Earth .

We killing it at a ever increasing rate to fuel the greed of a few and the want of many .

The world is a pollouted mess

We killing it's flaura and fauna.

We need to wake up

Or it will very soon be too late.

Put a rat on a allotment and it's happy as Larry

Put 10 in a barrel and close the lid' see what happens.

I know what your saying max about the planet, but I think we're being big headed to think that we can put a dent in mother nature, no way, to quote wee Mick from rocky, nature smarter than people think, an imo that's true, the earth will always keep spinning.

The thing I said about texas, think about it, that's just one state in America, what about rest of the world, don't call for the elites bill shot, they want the world for themselves.

Africa has untold untapped resources, it's keep the way it is for a reason, Africa could rule the world with resources alone, but no can't let that happen.
