How many salukis have won the Forley? loads have been entered LOL how many coursing dogs entered have won the Forley loads have been entered and most never won it. How many greyhounds entered in the Waterloo or Greyhound Derby but never won it LOL Does it mean if a dog doesnt win something it is shit FFS grow up and enjoy your dogs

would be interesting to know how many salukis ran in the various single handed comps, prob totally outnumbered in all

Very few pures did or get run in the big comps plenty of saluki x,s but these comps are primarily numbers on the doors rather than "coursing ability". The number of lads that actually work pures regularley is very small compared to other running dogs but to witness a pacy saluki work and course game is truly a thing to behold and that in UK is one of the reasons the saluki lovers have them certainly not for matching.
I know all that lol, can only think of a few, thought someone might know Edited by Gilbey

The problem with most the input on these saluki threads is that most who comment have not even owned one, and if they have it usually stayed around year then bred from or sold on,   Cant run in smal

Ghostly Ease?, yea I see where you coming from with that phrase mate, when they flat out in pursuit they make it look so effortless, really graceful, a real pleasure to watch, kill or no kill, its the

listen it's simple , The Fact you only said you had not got a running dog after I put the offer out there shows your a talker like I already stated. I'm still willing to run your dogs with my dogs. On

I have a pure saluki and she will take all quarry, I also have line bred saluki/greyhounds one of which was absolutely top class, I don't think that many dogs would be as good as her saluki or not, I'm a big admirer of Salukis but how many have won the forley cup and plenty have been entered.

Just because one person doesn't like a particular breed it doesn't mean you should call them, variety is the spice of life and let's just enjoy our own dogs, after all we should run our dogs for ourselves and not others.

Incidentally has anyone any experience with Picardy lurchers, I would be interested to know if anyone works this breed.

Happy new year to all of u.

All this talk about winning cups ect is bullshit IMO. Does a breed have to win a cup to be classed as a good dog? yous lot that think so have lesser brain power then the shittest of saluki.

Back before this bullshit Internet came about, when men were men and good dogs were good dogs. Back in 80s 90s were a lot of deerhound xs. And some bloody gooduns. But hold on they must have been shit like the saluki. I for one can't remember them winning the be all and end all Forley. Give your heads a wobble for fucks sake an go run your dogs ,,, I'm out

a good saluki if he catches it

Well obviously but if it keeps missing the strike would a hare run one to a standstill?

doubt it the hare would get pissed off and run up a pipe to get away

What if there was no pipe? Come on you're a Saluki man, what has the most stamina?
