Where did I state humans can see game moving better than dogs? No it doesn't but a human can spot sitters from a distance to slip the dog on can't they??? You're forgetting a little point there as well, a dog is a hell of a lot closer to the ground than any human so that kind of negates a dogs advantage at motion vision does it not...... Saluki71 110
Not on the fens with fair law, about thirty years ago a friend of my dads had a 3/4 whippet 1/4 greyhound and that would kill hare after hare when slipped under feet, if that hare managed two bends then the dog wouldn't catch it as long as it had a hole in its derrière. The thing I and my dad like most is watching lurchers hunting about and picking up a scent and following it until something jumps up, there is no better feeling than an hare rising from its seat and watching your lurcher tied to it like a piece of string. Yes I did hear about dons dog against Annie as don was a very good friend of mine bless him. Dons dog didn't perform that day, two days before that it had killed 4/4 and lost only one of 16 matches. As I said I only saw Annie run once but friends of mine saw her run numerous times and didn't rate her all of whom are genuine dog men. Quote Link to post
