Thinking of getting a new reel for barbel fishing to go with a korum rod , just wondered what other people are using

Shimano baitrunners are the best . I've tried others but none are as good or last as long as shimanos

As said shimano is best but recently I baught a cheap budget baitunner to put on a cheap feeder rod and leave in the back of landy for when I fancy a quick trip before/after work and found it to be shockingly well made for the money....

Looks a nice reel , having said that as does the ngt reel above just weary of it been so cheap

I like to ask lads who use them tried and tested rather than online views shimano as i expected seem to be faveroits

I have always sworn by shimanos but have a friend who works in a tackle shop and he has just moved over tonthese and got me to buy in aswell! reckons they are guna raise massively in price once the market realises the quality for the money. I have just bought two. They are made by penn, think it s 7000 series. very smooth, well balanced, good line retrieve ratio and extremely good line lay. Yet to test properly though.

Always use okuma myself, never had a problem and good price. had some new shimanos I felt the built quality was poor and was lot cheaper feel than they used to have

ive been using wychwood solace acs ,and cant fault them ,always used diawa/shimanos but thought id give these a go and havent been disapointed!I even bought the solace bit pit baitrunners to put on my carp rods ,and love em!
