garbs 90
nice demonstration that being said its a shame we don't have field days over here were you can see and touch all manner of hunting gear and get demos in the field. Tiercel 6,986
With that shoot things did not go to plan I chose to show it as it happened rather than edit it. To me thats normal and it is fine. The problem with videos and TV is that everything is rehearsed, edited till it goes smoothly. In real life we all know it does not work like that, $hit happens, but if you don't let it phase you, you can still salvage something out of a drop. TC 3 Quote Link to post

terryd 8,385
Practice plenty in the day setting it and also from both directions. When you do your first night drops try and pick relatively clean ground until your confidence grows. One little twig or bramble can seem a right disaster in the dark until you get used to things. But like tc says keep going even if you have to write off a few yards in a heap and peg out the rest. The book peg to peg is worth getting too https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/1846890586/ref=sr_1_1_olp?ie=UTF8&qid=1479160335&sr=8-1&keywords=long+netting%5D I was lucky to have an hour with tc when I first started and at one point he dam near ran with the net dropping and picking up. It was second nature. I am still a clumsy bugger with them a few years later Good to see a video of it being done Quote Link to post
