mark williams 7,550
I was out again yesterday evening - 5pm until 7pm, sat in the undergrowth, gillie suit on, primos sticks and waiting. The wood pigeons and Bandit were taken from a tree exactly 49 yds away. The rabbit was exactly 51 yds away. ( re used photo as the rabbit was struck hard ) A practice session before the hunt. The long range shots were "exactly" one mill dot hold over. atb 4 Quote Link to post

mark williams 7,550
Only on very still and breezeless days mate - so yes on that rule I will go out to 50 yds now. On your average every day wind/ breeze - naar I`ll stick with my lifetime method of decent fieldcraft. Might try your 100 yd paper target for a giggle Mac - that`s if I`ve got enough mill dots - if not I`ll take her as far out as the scope will allow. atb 1 Quote Link to post

mark williams 7,550
Aye DJ, - I`m old school . I get out with an old school range finder and lase the distance before I settle into my spot fully camo`d up, shot check the windage and wait. I like to get within 35 yds as much as possible but good luck to those who don`t. Quote Link to post
