oz0707 65
Bitch has ripped her claw earlier in the week. Been trying to just wash it regular and wrap it up. Seems to be putting a little more weight on it now but taking ages to get right. Haven't been able to go out all week! Thinking now just to bite the bullet go get it removed. thoughts? Moja 111
The nail looks fine, could be infected nail bed or actual toe damage Is the nail loose? (Hard to tell from the pics mate) Edited September 17, 2016 by Moja Quote Link to post
oz0707 65
yeh it is hard to tell from pics sorry bad photos. Yeh nail is loose but not happy when you pull it up a bit. It's like its ripped away from the bed. I'd be surprised if infected i've been washing it 3 times a day, no signs of puss or redness. you can kinda see how its not straight in one of the pics Quote Link to post

oz0707 65
yeh thats a thought I had, she won't catch it then and should heal. As far back as I can? I also thought vet might pull it out Quote Link to post
Moja 111
Yeah cut as close to the toe as you can, pair of sharp dog nail clippers close as you can and cut it, it'll bleed a bit keep it clean and soon as it starts to form looses it sensitivity good to go Quote Link to post
oz0707 65
Well went to chop and it came off. Didn't realise it was so loose. Will just keep clean now then at least we should get back out next week! Quote Link to post
