Welsh_red 4,635
Maybe T-rex evolved to live on land after that was written Well you would wouldn't you , after that everybody was probably in their boats trying to hunt them to the extinction like all the other dinosaurs . All the while the Wiley crocodile was hiding from the hunters in plain sight looking like a log in the water
walshie 2,804
Another walshie, scholars says this is t rex 1Can you draw out Leviathan with a hook, or snare his tongue with a line which you lower? 2 Can you put a reed through his nose, or pierce his jaw with a hook?... 7 Can you fill his skin with harpoons, or his head with fishing spears?... 12 I will not conceal his limbs, his mighty power, or his graceful proportions. 13 Who can remove his outer coat? Who can approach him with a double bridle? 14 Who can open the doors of his face, with his terrible teeth all around? 15 His rows of scales are his pride, shut up tightly as with a seal; 16 One is so near another that no air can come between them; 17 They are joined one to another, they stick together and cannot be parted. 18 His sneezings flash forth light, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning. 19 Out of his mouth go burning lights; sparks of fire shoot out. 20 Smoke goes out of his nostrils, as from a boiling pot and burning rushes. 21 His breath kindles coals, and a flame goes out of his mouth. 22 Strength dwells in his neck, and sorrow dances before him. 23 The folds of his flesh are joined together; they are firm on him and cannot be moved. 24 His heart is as hard as stone, even as hard as the lower millstone. 25 When he raises himself up, the mighty are afraid; because of his crashings they are beside themselves. 26 Though the sword reaches him, it cannot avail; nor does spear, dart, or javelin. 27 He regards iron as straw, and bronze as rotten wood. 28 The arrow cannot make him flee; slingstones become like stubble to him. 29Darts are regarded as straw; he laughs at the threat of javelins. 30 His undersides are like sharp potsherds; he spreads pointed marks in the mire. 31 He makes the deep boil like a pot; he makes the sea like a pot of ointment. 32 He leaves a shining wake behind him; one would think the deep had white hair. This is describing an animal that lives in water FFS how can it be describing T-rex? Do you even understand the words? It's obviously a fire-breathing croc or killer whale. greg64 2,823
¶ Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. 16 Lo now, his strength [is] in his loins, and his force [is] in the navel of his belly. 17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. 18 His bones [are as] strong pieces of brass; his bones [are] like bars of iron. 19 He [is] the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach [unto him]. 20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play. 21 He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens. 22 The shady trees cover him [with] their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about. 23 Behold, he drinketh up a river, [and] hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth. 24 He taketh it with his eyes: [his] nose pierceth through snares. Here you go Walshie, scholars say behemoth was the fecking big brontasauras, sounds right to me. sounds like a mamouth

gnasher16 30,065
Must admit i do sometimes wonder if many of the people with these big strong " lets bash God " views are actually quite as sure as they make out.....29 pages this topic has gone so far and its predominantly people totally convinced there is no such thing as God who are posting on it.....i mean if someone started a subject on here saying Elvis was alive and well stacking shelves in their local Tescos im not sure id even bother getting into a debate about it as im pretty sure he,s not......so some people dont believe in the existence of a God ok thats fine......but the way they talk with such arrogance and contempt about the worlds majority who do is probably what keeps these types of debates going in my opinion Edited September 25, 2016 by gnasher16
Silversnake 1,099
I don't believe in God or allah or any other deity, I mostly relate to foxdropper's views in this thread, but I know I cannot prove my views and I have no interest in doing so. I haven't seen anybody PROVE Francie's views false and find it strange that seems to frustrate people. Why would Francie change his views because of somebody else's opinion or belief? As stated the world's best scientists cannot PROVE his beliefs wrong, why get upset if he won't change for anybody on here? Or maybe we should twist it into an argument whether Francie has an open mind or not, that is meaningful.
WILF 46,772
I think most people can be persuaded of anything if they are shown real evidence but for me it comes down to this, you can't deny what you see and feel. If you see and feel something and the logic and actions are stacking up then it's real to you.......it's as simple as that. Edited September 26, 2016 by WILF

scothunter 12,609
The only reason this has run so long is cz of a fundementilist wants to keep it running. Im just as bad for taking the bait. Im not even entirely convinced he himself believes what he writes!

Just cause we can't see them don't mean they are not there........if it's real to them then it's real. If you have faith in something, that alone (the faith you put in it) has value imo,so it's 'real' in that way. But it doesn't help at all in finding any objective truth. WILF 46,772
Our pagan ancestors thousands of years ago believed something was going on, that there was a power in every living thing......people much closer to nature than we can ever hope to be believed there was something more thousands of years prior to Christianity. Was there a bloke born 2000 odd years ago who just got it.......who could just see clearly the failings of men and had lessons that could lead to a happy and peaceful life.......I think that's all quiet possible. What's more was he connected in some way to some power running through the earth and all its life forms......who can tell. That's a bit of my logic, it won't be everyone's cup of tea but I also dont think it makes me a weak minded loon case. Anyway, I'm happy enough with it.
