Popular Post Rat face 1,655
got a phone call yesterday off a distressed pet owner saying that his pet dog had gone missing in a park in Manchester, and the owner was 98% sure that the dog had chased a rabbit or something down a hole, he carried on to tell me that at first he he rung the rspca and they was not interested in helping at all, no surprise there then, so i went threw a few basic checks with him and made sure we had permission off the park warden to carry out a rescue in the park we had the green light so i rung a few members that live close and asked them to go down and have a look and see if they could get a mark on the dog that was possibly to ground rung the lad back who by this point had randomly started to digging at the tube in a attempt to get to his dog, i advised him to stop digging and wait for help was on its way, as soon as the lads got there they assessed the situation and said it was safe for a recuse attempt to take place, luckily the member that went down has a nice little steady bitch that was ideal to collar up and try for a mark on the stuck dog and with luck on our side the bitch flew to ground and gave the lads a mark to work to, the lads cracked on and and dug down to the mark and uncovered the pet owners dog that had dug on an blocked its self in trying to dig on and would have been smothered by the sand if he had waited any longer to ring us the dogs owner was over the moon and can't praise the club and the lads enough when others did not want to know but the real thanks goes to the 3 lads that gave there time up to go and help someone that they didn't know and wasn't a member, nice one lads you know who you are. always remember your terriers 49 Quote Link to post
