Ferret Losing Furr

Alright lads has anyone come across this my ferret has started losing furr under her legs and a bit near her tail also her tail is a bit red and looks sore any know what this is and could it be treated before I take her to vet cheers James

Hormones id say, like rat tail the hobs take when their in season. Iv a jill the same, bald on the tail and back. She wasnt bred and and lost a bit of fur. Should grow back with the winter coat. Any dirt on the skin i clean with warm water and a cloth to prevent dry skin and rashes. Can look a bit rank.

I got 1 the same mate its jills if you havnt bred them its something about glands an they loose they fur looks terrible but will come back

My old Jill has lost a lot of her hair on her back, this happened after my vasectomy hob died, I also think it's to do with hormones expecting the hair to grow back, does look a mess though, vet said getting her sprayed could help, but didn't as she is six and a half years old.

this is my jill, you wouldn't have recognised her a few weeks ago, she was in season, loss of fur on her back and head, kept her quarters clean, wiped her over daily with a wet wipe, shes out of season now, nowt wrong with her now
