same as bullmastiffs as well, most guard breeds today have health probs, the gsd unless from import lines, is prob the worst of the lot with bad HD, and when they x a gsd with a rottie,i couldn't think of a more unhealthy type of dog better of with heinz 57 or a jack terrier

Yeah rotty we had was great ,only went to about 7 years though.

A friend of mine was well into rottys. He always had bitches. He took in a dog that someone else couldnt control amd said he was always unsure with it. One day it turned on him when out walkin and put hin on his arse. his bitch who was half the size ended up nailin it.

 

I wanted one but he put me off them because I had to think about misus n kids.

the bitches are lot more reliable temps, alot of the male type guard breeds ,at some point try to dominate . my mate got a young Boerboel bitch just under 12 months old, real nice temp . they had a bitch for that reason, as the breeder said they have a easier time with bitches than dogs, and 100 lb boerboel bitch stop any man she built like a tank lol

they are mate, prob one of the best guards in the big breeds. there vid going around on youtube where a boerboel grabs a black bloke , who was trying to break in the house, this is in S/A the boerboel smashed him all over the place, not a breed to mess with . there like big bullmastiffs but hell of alot more healthy and agile , if i wanted a big guard breed it would be these .

deff , my mate payed £ 1500 quid for his bitch pup, she got imports in her line , she like a tank now she fawn with a tail , they dock in S/A but not here. i really like them, the dogs are to big and can be a handful , the bitches are better temps and you still looking at 110-120 lb animal wreak man no prob, they were bred just as guard dogs nothing else ,which they 100% at. there to much money for me, i wouldn't pay that for any breed of dog . we got little woody my sons jack x with us this week, he brill watch dog and only cost me son£ 50 quid from the local pound , thats all you really need something to bark you can do the rest your self with a rounders bat lol, but i do like the boerboel if i wanted big type breed it would them .
