Frolicking Ferrets 33
I thought pork was bad for ferrets? I've fed mine pork plenty of times and they've been fine, never had any issues except that not all of my ferrets will eat it, they prefer other meats and even fish. Quote Link to post
Jax13 251
Mine get pigs kidneys every couple of weeks with no ill effects. It's probably the same as everything else... Feed in moderation and it'll be fine. It's a shame really as I can get a pig pluck for less than it costs me to shoot a couple of bunnies! Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
I think the biggest problem with pork is the salt in processed stuff like gammon and bacon etc or pork from supermarkets which is full of water and salt. I've fed my dogs and ferrets loads of fresh pork when I used to get half pigs and they have all been fine. As for hearts I chuck a whole beef heart in every now and then and the ferrets love it.
