After reading the whippet topic and the collie greyhound topic, I was wondering does anyone keep and work a cross between the two.

Very nice looking bitch slip lead.

Looks very whippet like. Was she a big dog.

actually she threw to the whippet but had a proper coat great feet and wind,I did put vid on here years ago of her running but long gone now

This cross doesn't seem to get much bigger than a strong whippet.

With this cross did ye find that ye lost any of the whippets speed.

the vid I put up years ago showed her picking up rabbits in very small horse paddocks,fully committed herself right to the fence so in answer to your question no,cheers

Not as quick or as agile as my present dog a 23" whippet, and if I was to put as much In front of this one as I did her I think the whippet would have higher catch rate, but no way as keen as I was 25 years ago, so his only seen a fraction of what I did with the cwg

my little fella is the same way breed more whippet in the mix than anything, suits me fine no world beater at 22tts but pretty durable to date atb Edited September 6, 2016 by matt1979
