Cut On Back

I noticed a cut\scrape on my young hobs back the other day must have been from play fighting with his brother

However had a good look at it today and noticed some puss between the cracks of the scabs

I've washed it out with some salty water

Any other method I can use to clean the wound so the infection doesn't get bad

Keep it clean and bathe in saltwater water maybe put some sudacream on it.atb dc

Just keep it clean as possible mate, as previously said keep bathing in Luke warm salt water, failing that trip up vets mate but I shouldn't bother unless it gets worse

Don't put sudocrem or any ointment on it, it will just attract dust and general crap. If the saline isn't doing it then buy some Hibiscrub from the pharmacist, dilute and bathe the wounds. Hibiscrub kills bacteria found on the skin, and is what the vet would use to bathe the injury.

Cheers for the advice folks appreciate it,

Been washing out the wound with salty warm water

If it gets any worse it will be vet trip

What's you're views on the spray on anti septic stuff, can I use that to help clean out the wound?

Purple spray won't hurt used it on dog's ferrets hawks and myself.atb dc

keep washing it then take the scab off it and let it dry out healing from the inside to the outside
