Used to be a few 20's and odd 30 in the Brecon and Mon canal years ago.they would travel a fair distance between locks.my biggest is around 17 lb caught it on doggie biscuits and controller float.not

This is my favourite canal carp that I have caught, 27lb 120z this common was.

That's what i call a carp DC. Not one of the beer-bellied tame fatties you see so much of. :thumbs:

gave a good scrap for a tiddler infairness dai.straight lined me into some lilies. This winter if I got time I'm gonna do some carp fishing on the wye-there's a few good fish next to the rowing club that folks always feeding-watching them eating chips off the top lol.atb dc

That's a nice grass carp ant ;).is that an old wound from a cormorant of heron?atb dc

i can't remember TBH Dan, it was a few years ago. A fishing club bought the rights and started charging for day tickets so I've been for a few years. I think it's just a bit of cherry blossom of the water?

Had a scraper 20 ghost from Leeds Liverpool, we had some cracking fish out of there mainly on floating bread, dog biscuits and method feeder/hali pellets, think the EE's have been at them now though

Nice fish! Iv seen some huge canal carp too in the leeds Liverpool canal including a 20lbs ghost carp at c woods. They seem to have vanished too along with the pike.
