What Is Going To Happen ?

Recommended Posts

I carried a airgun in the streets ...shot sparrows of peoples roofs...collected birds eggs...walked about with a 10inch bowie knife in a sheath and even took it to school.....mind you it was 1972.....HAPPY DAYS

Don't forget the pea shooter in class.. chewed up soggy paper off the back pages of your school books...or lentils and rice in your gob for the shotgun effect! Having trip down memory lane with this post ?

It's up to us then isn't it? THL against modern society. Against anti-bloodsport brigade, whose only experience of nature is David Attenborough, or parking on a grass verge when they are at a car boo

Not trying to start a argument , but why do you think that is. Parents not allowing kids to be kids. I got 2 kids. Boy 6 girl 5 and both come to the traps with me and love it . Literally today I said to the boy on the way back from traps when he gets to 10, if he's been a good boy when out with me in the woods and hunting I will buy him a gun to shoot targets with . Now he's 6 , 4 years to him is a lifetime . He was bursting with joy thinking about it , asking all sort of questions " can we put 100 bean tins in a row and see how far it goes through ". Love the both of the kids for their vigour about joining me trapping . If either showed any sign of not liking it I wouldn't drag them thru the field with me. It was pissing down today and wild horses couldn't stop my boy coming with me . But I'm the only one round here like that. My mum Told her workmates I take the kids trapping because she don't give a shit what people think and they were all horrified and disgusted I took my kids to kill animals. They don't care when I get a squirell in the trap the kids go to a faraway tree and stand behind it while I hoot squirell . They don't see anything yet(also pellet bonce is a concern) . They don't care that my boy will tell you anything you want to know about grey squirells , including squirell pox and signs of squirells etc

When I was a young kid my mum had birthday parties for me and my school mates as you do for little kids. My dad had a big boa constrictor in a viv. Year after year people pulled out of sending their kid to my party's because they were scared my dad had a snake and it might break out and eat their kids . In the end my dad got rid of the snake because people woupdnt send kids round because they were scared

Kids not wanting to go out and explore the British countryside is the problem , c**t Ponce parents is the problem . Scared of letting their kids do what they did as kids is the problem. Easier to keep kids in all day doing fuckall than letting them be kids . I love computer games, use mobile loads and other modern stuff but theirs room for both in your life

i ordered 2 tins of pellets from uttings last week, i then had an email saying they cant send them unless i send proof that i am 18, i mean come on ffs

I`ve three sons and a daughter ,they have watched me walk out the front door with dogs and guns for years.

They have watched me prepare shot game and they have all eaten game.

Do they come shooting ? - No , they are simply not interested.

Son no 1 ( Mark jnr) - Fishing and women.

Son no 2 ( Keiron), - Volvo cars and women.

Son no 3 ( Shane), - socializing and you`ve guessed it, women.

My daughter would never dream coming out with me in the countryside ,more interested in shopping , made in chelsea,, phone and all the other shit .

I tried with her from a early age and she was enjoying coming for walks playing in streams but reached the age of 13 and after that went downhill fast

My fault for buying all the tech stuff and not making her come for walks . All her mates are the same girls and boys

I have been lucky with my kids. My son loved shooting air rifles and spent hundreds of hours in out cellar target range and loading 12 gauge cartridges with me in the days when it was much cheaper to load your own.

My oldest daughter was like my shadow, whatever I did, she did and became a cracking little sea angler but not shooting although she does enjoy a good plinking session with my son in law and myself, she is a better shot than my son in law if I am being honest.

My youngest daughter loves nature so not keen on me shooting live quarry but she loves fishing when I take her which isn't so often due to her work etc but also has a keen interest in clay shooting and as we are off to Suffolk next weekend for two weeks, she will no doubt be both fishing and clay shooting at High Lodge with us. We introduced her boyfriend to the art of shooting this year and he is so keen, he will be on the lookout for a gun before long.

Trouble is clay shooting is totally different kettle of fish to airgun . you are not really walking around the countryside trying to be silent , a low profile and blending in with the surroundings around you on a nice quiet day , instead you are standing there with a few other guns all going BANG ,BANG ,they can never just let one cartridge go they must let both barrels go , i hate bang bang guns and i use to shoot them as well
