Minimum Fps At 40 Mtrs

Recommended Posts

Using a 8.44gr pellet in .177 to achieve 4ft/lbs at 40m you would need 600fps (6.75ft/lbs) at the muzzle which would equate to 464fps (4.04ft/lbs) at 40m.

I have heard 3ft/lbs to kill a rabbit, so 400fps in 8.44gr at 40m. So a muzzle energy of 5.07ft/lbs.

Thats my calcs using chairgun.

I just wanted to make sure it was good enough to do rabbits at a 40 mtr distance

before i put the nv on it and take it out.

Il be shooting no more than thst distance so it sll sounds good

That's the same combo that I use BN

...... you'll easily take rabbits at 40 mtrs. If things are going well, you can add another 10 mtrs and still have clean kills
