Once You Gone Black , Another Stock Refinish

Its a pre catalised enamel laquer mate , the brief from the customer was to try to achieve the look of the bsa tactical stocks , this is what i came out with , also the beech has been stained with black nitrocellulose stain as a basecolour

From what I can see you achieved your brief in looks. Every day use, time will tell.

Of course it will not hold up or be as durable as a synthetic stock , that goes without saying but still very durable .and the brief was simply asthetics

It's not my cup of tea either Nath :no:

But, I can see it's a quality job and, I've no doubt that it's owner will be happy :thumbs:

I'm quite a traditionalist at heart - I love seeing the grain, any grain, come out on a wood stock :)

 

That makes two of us mate , i am however there to serve , all of my stock that are wood have the grain popping out
