SA Hunter 3
OK. So I know I have just joined the group but I would like to ask a question. If I was to apply for a position in the industry what certification would I need to get if I worked as a game Keeper. I have loads of certification over here but I know your H&S regulations are very complicated. Do they have recognition of prior learning? Some guidance would be appreciated. Lloyd90 509
What's your experience ? It's a hard job, long hours with low pay, sometimes the boss can be good but I've heard a fair few stories of mean bosses who are tight and don't treat the staff very well. I found get a good one however it can be top class. More of a life style than a job!
SA Hunter 3
I have my professional hunting permit and have guided countless hunts on foot with rifle, bow and handgun on plains game with a few dangerous game hunts in between. I am also a field guide and take guests out on walking safaris in dangerous game areas. I have worked in the passed for a Spanish Family running their hunting lodge and conducting their hunts with family, friends and clients so am well versed in good boss bad boss. I have done weapon training, range work, anti poaching, carcuss handling and butchery work. Skinning caping and trophy preparation. As in the UK it is a lifestyle with little monetary reward but is well worth it......depending on the boss. Oh, and I have a British Passport
