Gary73 62
Ordered x5 tins of Jsb exact Rs 5.52 .22 as will as x5 tins of Jsb exact heavy's in 4.52 .177. The only thing that concerned me about the Rs was that the Falcons skirts were not the best a bit like AA fields in terms of strength. Anyway I bit the bullet and took the chance on the Rs. I was pleased to find that the new tins were very good quality much better than the faps. Weighed some and got bored very consistent through the Hw100 I chrono'd x10 shots, 622 618 11.39 ft/lbs 624 11.61 ft/lbs 622 622 623 621 623 622 622 I then tried Jsb jumbo exacts 15.9gr which came back at a maximum of 11.88ft/lbs. I am tempted to drop the power by 10fps to give a little more margin. The Rs would then run at a max of 615fps. Thats the Hw100kt .22 sorted Also got x5 tins of Heavies for the R10 .177 super carbine which runs at a max of 11.7ft/lbs. Strange lightest pellets in .22 and heavy pellets in .177, should of bought a .20 Hw100kt. But overall good news as the Rs were fine and bent skirts were not an issue thats my pellets for the rest of the year sorted. Edited September 1, 2016 by Gary73 1 Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,552
I`ve never had issues with bent or distorted AA Fields, FAP`s, JSB Exact Express - ever ? Seen many a lad ( not Gary) load their guns or magazines direct from the pellet tin though, - this rummaging about amongst the pellets with your fingers " promotes" distorted skirts etc, etc.depending ( as said) on pellet strength. I never, ever rummage, I always empty some out, onto a clean cloth and load the mag`s before venturing out hunting. I find .22 Falcon Accuracy Plus lethal in the HW 100`s. ------ .177 JSB Exact Express the same in the TX 200 ------ .177 AA Fields the same in the HW 100.-- about to trial the JSB Exact Express 7,87 g, 4.52 after " great reports on this hunting combination" with the 100`s. atb Quote Link to post
Jonjon79 13,358
Ah yes, also my favourite pellets - FAPs and RS in my .22 TX and JSB Heavies in my .177 HW100. I haven't had a bad tin yet Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
I use Falcon or JSB rs in .22 and AA express or JSB .177 express in both of my HW100k . Even if the skirts are deformed when fired the air pushes the skirts out again 1 Quote Link to post
