Maybe the fact that Donald J has let the genie out of the bottle will force some concessions from Clinton IF she wins ? He has spoke the unspeakable, and has bought contentious issues out into the open (albeit a little boorishly at times) - and I, for one, salute him for that, if nothing else !

My feelings exactly about Trump, he has brought issues out that have been deemed unspeakable. Whether he gets in or not he has helped the tide turn against the politically correct bull$hit that is dragging advanced countries into the gutter.

Until very recently, Clinton had a double point lead, but he's battled his way back to just about even. Probably more encouraging for his campaign, his popularity within his own party has risen to a new high of 78%.......he's definitely still in the fight !

In fact, their system is very similar to ours. Trump may have a policy on this, that or the other, but it is Congress that introduces, amends and, ultimately, endorses it. The president merely ratifies it with his signature, rather like Her Majesty does here .

So, he needs a Republican majority (ideally), and he needs policies that the Republican Congressmen (and women) will support. If he has a Congress majority, he doesn't need to win Democrats over, or rely on them abstaining. His ideal scenario is a Republican majority in both the Congress AND the Senate.......but that scenario has rarely happened.

Possibly, but if he wins with a convincing majority, his party would be foolish to ignore him......

Obama was elected on a tidal wave of support but, thank to Congress blocking him, has achieved very little in his time in office.

the betting market suggests a fair bit of money on trump in recent weeks hes now as short as 7/4 , and Clinton is on the drift in the market 4/9 from 1/5 in a matter of weeks, mind you shes done very well to be out of prison at the moment after all the scandals an lying

The polls have been very wrong on our GE the referendum and are almost certainly wrong on Trump. I'd bet anything he wins and I don't believe it's that close either. There are plenty of reports on pollsters tweaking their system to give Clinton the lead a bit like they did in the referendum.
