Just joined and wanted to say hi.

I'm taking up the sport a little later on in life and at 58 have discovered something amazing. I have joined a local club and managed to get a permission all in 6 months so feel blessed. Currently using a Hatsan Gladius in .22 with a Falcon T50. Admittedly it's a little heavy but is blisteringly accurate. I am sticking to quarry at 20-25m distance at the moment which is where I am confident of a clean kill. However, I need advice on correct hold over calculation for longer distances. How to do this in very plain English is what I need as I am not an expert.

Any way, good to be here and look forward to speaking to you all in the future.

Welcome to the site mate.

That's quite a scope

When I still had mine, I kept getting distracted - Turning the mag up and watching the birds messing around in the hedgerows :D

Chairgun is good plotting trajectories. Or you can do what I do - just put a load of pellets through it at different ranges.

Either way, have fun :)

Hi Jon

Thanks for the welcome. The scope has not been used in anger yet just at the club where I shoot of an evening but is so well made and works just as well. I do need to look at an additional IR for it as the built in one is a bit low on power.

I did look at chair gun but have to say, found it a little, complicated to understand. So many abbreviations to work out!!! I think the mass pellets think is going to work the best and also look at what other shooters use. I have already found that Diabolo Field and JSB Exacts work well but still have some other popular makes to try.

Cheers
