Led Lamps...

Recommended Posts

Has anyone tried charging these while being out from one of those lithium power banks for charging phones as they are around 8000 mah around 7-8 amp as an idea of a quick charge if on a long night out and the inevitable happens

They charge off 8v mate and the lithium packs are 12v unless you can get them with the correct output or wire the charger to the battery somehow. I aren't sure.

You can charge them from the vehicle though if travelling from one place to another etc.

Funnily enough this lamp question has been going on since lamping began. If you have the right land a good dog and field craft it does not matter what lamp you have. Some of my best nights have been w

Well I tried my new tracer 210 out last night against the plr 500 and it absoloutley pissed on it for spotting distance and much much brighter beam.I've noticed if its not pitch black the led beam st

Don't like counting them but will let you know the weight lol

The vehicle would be 12v so is there a transformer built into the vehicle charger to take it down to 8v if so would the same principle not work with a 12v lithium power bank

Fook knows. Lol. I suppose you could plug the cigarette connector into the Deben type battery packs. Maybe. Lol

i dont know either but if you can charge a mobile phone which is 3.7v in a car thats 12v or from 220v mains id imagine the transformer is built into the charger or cigarette socket. I thought you said you studied electronics or were you asleep for that bit. Lol your the expert on this topic lets have some answers.... Only joking mate...

That's all well and good if you can plug the charger (where as you correctly say the transformer is) into the battery packs. But for most of them... You cannot.

Like I said above the Deben ones come with a cigarette female end so that might work. But the fella was asking about mobile phone battery packs.

Can you also run these off a battery pack or can it only be run off the battery in the handle . Also is it 1 hour continues use or on and off use . Cheers

Not sure about your first question mate. If the route what Jiggy is going down is a feasible option then you can run them off a Deben battery but i don't know the capabilities of the PCB, wires, LEDs etc so I'm just gonna use it as intended.

It's an hour continuous use.

Anybody know roughly how long a deben 22amp lithium battery pack will last before its spent and wont take a recharge. I seen them at a fair yesterday but at 335 euro just for battery without lamp id be expecting them to last.

I charged my lithium loads m still living.

Someone mention about drilling a 3-4 inch hole in centre of filter and spraying it to get rid of glare on lamps lol don't waste a perfectly good filter as it dims the beam and doesn't cut glare total shit idea, thanks to whoever the genius was a while ago lmao
