bigmac 97kt 13,806
Just a little but a big dif when shooting now iv been shooting out to some good distances over the past week (targets only lads) as most of you know and some of the results have knocked me back now i could not put my finger on why both the 60 yrd targets have looked like they had been hit with shot out of a scatter gun lol Even little hunter was having trouble scoping in his rifle last night out to 27yrds but he changed back to the old tin of pellets i had in the back of the tank but i did not know and i was still on the jsb jumbos 15,89 head size 5,51 the new batch i had bought all of a sudden he started to group mint (they would head size 5,52) It was not until we were on our way home i remembered what Viz had say,d that the head size was dif to what i normally used So iv had a plink in the yard out to 18 yrds as far a i can go at home 1 MAG OF 5,51 ,,,14 SHOTS 2 MAGS OF 5,52 ,,,28 SHOTS THE RESULT SPEAKS FOR ITS SELF ATVBMAC  4 Quote Link to post
philpot 5,014
£4 difference between the tins, are the 5.51 an old tin. The 5.52 seem to do the trick mate, melt the others down for fishing leads. Phil Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
Makes a difference , BSA guns prefer 4.53 or 5.53 the difference is unbelievable ,especially at distance 1 Quote Link to post

bigmac 97kt 13,806
Makes a difference , BSA guns prefer 4.53 or 5.53 the difference is unbelievable ,especially at distance You got that right mitch im not a great shot but im not bad ether i can get the job done when i need to lol but if there grouping like that with 5,51 at 18yrds then over 60yds they will scatter ten fold i even took the camo off the mod to see if the mod was loose it was doing my head in then took the mod off to see if they were clipping the mod I had to stop and have a smoke to calm down lol The bairn was trying to tell me but by then i was gone and ended up telling him to go back to his shooting or words to that afect . Phil ,,,they were new tins just from a dif shop i think he had got a bulk supply so he could sell at a lower price JUST NEED TO GET BACK OUT AND DO THE 60YRD TEST AGAIN WITH 5,52 THIS TIME from this at 18yrds to this at 60yrds atvbmac  1 Quote Link to post
